I had few expectations from Storm, but so far I have been pleased with the performance, battery and touch functionality. I tried every 3GP encoding with less then acceptable results, then I let the Iphone codec have a go and WOW! small clear amazing video.
What can I say, it's my new phone.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the Blackberry Storm comes with a full keyboard accessory. I'm curious because I'm thinking of using this thing for editing and report writing while I'm on the road; however, if all I can do is use my thumbs to type then this phone is not going to replace my laptop.

I was amazed when I received my blackberry storm and can honestly say that I still absolutely love it!! The only reservations I have is that blackberry still haven't managed to make a battery that lasts long enough and that whilst it is pretty cool, the accelerometer can at times be a little slow and unresponsive. Overall though the internet functionality, AMAZING clickable touchscreen and an outstanding media player (quality of picture is fantastic) make this phone an iPhone killer as well as yet another industry leading business phone - wouldn't change it for any phone ever made!!!

Pros: good looking, clear image, good camera
cons: froze within 24 hours of purchase, froze several more times, flashed lines every time I clicked a letter for texting, keys made unusual click noise (different from the one it's supposed to make), the light on the screen flickered withing the first 24 hours of purchase, extremely slow, I never dropped it or spilled it and it hasn't even been a full week yet, as of right now the camera will randomly come on and keep clicking pictures, go to the call screen and switch between the two, the battery life is also terrible because it's all touch screen
This is honestly the worst phone I have ever experienced. I did the buy one get on free blackberry with my sister and she had the same problems. We purchased the phones on Friday and it's only the following Monday and all of those problems have happened. I wanted it because of the internet...big mistake. It's not even damaged the least bit. I have never dropped it, spilled on it, sat on it, pressed the screen too hard, stored it in high heat or freezing cold, nothing. I even have a screen protector and a case over it. I think because it's a brand new model that the kinks need to be worked out over a long period of time. It's a good looking phone and it has a ton of capabilities but the functionality of it is not acceptable.

All my friends have the storm and they all say the same thing.. They wish they waited for the 2nd generation. No one can beleive it does not have wi-fi, and they are always freezing.
The only way I will purchase this phone in the 2nd generation series is if it has wi-fi and the freezing issues are solved.
