It does seem that they got the specs wrong in some places but that is neither here nor there.
I love this phone and it does exactly what I need it to do: check my google emails, update my Facebook account, chat with friends and most important, stay in contact with my son through texting.
This phone is really worth the price. It is not a Smart phone, my son has a Samsung Black Jack and loves it but I already have a nice netbook that does all my office computing and internet office stuff.
I only paid $69.00 US and it is worth every penny. You just have to know what you need in a phone and then go out and get it. The Cricket service is outstanding and I recommend them to all my friends work from home and or travel to he bay area here in California.
If all you need is text, email and an outstanding GPS navigation system (I forgot about Cricket Navigator service), check the weather, news and such, then this is the phone for you. If you need to watch youtube videos and play all the latest games etc, then just spend the big bucks on a smart phone and a ridiculous cell service.

I am not sure what you mean by "hard phone" but it does get and send MMS, I know because I send them all the time, I update my Facebook photos with my phone. The MSGM8 does not do video but then again it is not a Smart phone.
As to the software matter I am not sure about that but if I do find out I will post it here.

Where can i get the Software (CD) to install the MSGM8 in my computer? Each time i plug it into my computer with the USB cord it says i need to insert a CD to download/install it. that way i'm able to easily move photos from my computer to my phone

i have asked around and they said u need to put in a micro sd card before u can start to up load pics into ur phone but u have to take it to a cricket center so they can do it because it is in side the phone if that maske any sens. will let u know when i get it done

ha,i love this phone yo.at first i was mad that i cudnt record videos,but i got ovr it.and yeah it sucks that the inbox stops at 100,and the outbox stops at 50,but ppl better be greatful that they even got money to have a phone!.but i didnt buy mine,my brother did.i love txtn all fast on the keyboard.ha,imma beast.lol..

Go online to mycricket.com and login. Then you will see where you can add money to your "flex bucket". Once you do this your good to go!

I am not sure you did the specs on this phone but they really have it very wrong as to expansion slot for MiniSD card. It also is only 1X not rev 0 which would make it 3G. Cricket is has 3G but this phone does not utilize that technology.
It is a good phone for the money and it can do a lot for the price. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to text, facebook and Myspace.

the only way i found was to send them to your email address so far , plan to go to cricket today to check out the software issue they say they can fix the phone to link to my laptop and will do it for free we will see about that

if you want to transfer anything to/from this phone it is really simple:
go out and pick up a bluetooth reciever/transmitter that plugs into a usb port on your pc and connect the phone to pc that way, it is a really smooth and easy way to transfer pics, ringtones, ect
why worry about cords and software when you can do it from across the room with bluetooth? you can also send/recieve pics, music)ringtones), messages, comtact info and a few other things with blustooth (its the only way to go, fastest and easiest way to do it)
the bluetooth reciever thing runs for anywhere from about $20 on up but i got mine at target for $25 or so and i love it makes things very easy to transfer :-)

Biggest piece of junk DONT BUY!!!! Piece of junk that you cant even save your pics you cant take videos you cant add anymore memory haha the only thing this piece is good for is talking and texting and even that is very awkward. The internet crap its so slow it makes you want to throw it against the wall. Forget about putting it in your pocket you will be calling someone but who its a SECRET!! Cricket is great for people that only want a cellphone temp. but if your looking for a long term company go with atat or sprint or whoever else. Oh ya there flex bucket ya thats another piece that they give you the option for "give me yo money sucka" but you dont get to even sample before you buy so make sure you no what it is before or your sol. Try www.myxer.com alot of ringtones there dont give cricket your money save it for a date. Peace

this is amazingly the most arrogent preferential superficial post ever.... if you want an android, blackberry, or iphone go spend the $200-$500 on the phone, if you don't have the best credit or no credit, another $150-$400 a line deposit $35 a line activation an another $130-$200/month on a plan... yes i was paying $180/month +$5 for navigation for my sprint htc hero thats unlimited everything... minus navigation,
$250+$180+$35+$250=$715 for my first month of service with sprint and a super awsomly amazing phone....
so by the time you have a "gadget that does everything" you want you spend 4x as much as you would for this phone and well a years worth of service.... yes i live in a state that exercises there right to tax...
1 year service with sprint + phone+tax=$2875
1 year service with cricket+phone and tax = $637.92

i gave this phone 3 stars because i love this phone, its amazing for emailing and texting. i like the way you can lock AND protect your pictures, but i hate how bluetooth never works, no video camera and no memory card slot.

it was worth the 80 dollars i bought it with, but then, now, it freezes up and the screen turned white, and i cant use it at all.

pretty average cheap phone, its a disposable good so i dont expect it to last to awfull long but for now it shall work...
it does everything i need to but nothing i want it to due but thats todays society....

it makes calls, it sends sms, mms, email, allowes me to access the internet, it has navigation, takes pictures....thats morethen my last phone did... if you expect an iphone pay the iphone price

I like the phone for texting but there's no software/driver to upload/receive files from my computer !!!! >:(
