Hi, I had the exact same problem. Turns out that if you put a screen protector on it, it will cover the proximitey sensor. Take off the cover and it should work.
If you need to put a screen cover on it, just cut out the bit where the proximity sensor is. Th sqaure bit on the left hand side by the LG symbol.
Hopes this works for you.
the lg arena is a great phone to buy if youre a features lover and dont mind an average battery life. much better than the iphone in every aspect except for easy-to-use part, you will need some time to get use to using the phone. enjoy :)
I need to charge the battery for my LG 900 KM Arena even though I seldom make calls or serve the internet. Also have problems accessing the internet. Any answers
DO NOT BUY THE ARENA, my has gone from bad to worse, after installing the new firmware it has broken. LG's respose - try upgrading the firmware if your having problems. So again i repeate:

Have just bought a KM900.Problem is the phone just keeps switching itself of at least 2-3 times a day.Is there anything I can check first before I try a firemware upgrade.Is this going to fix this problem?
I have sent one of these phones back as it isnot sending or receiving calls.Aweek later and I am in the same place with the replacement and i have the added bonus of the touch screen working on a 50/'50 basis.

dial 1809#*900#
after that in menu press factory reset NOT: EVERY THING ON HANDSETS MEMORY WILL ERASE.

i used my headset once.. and then removed it.. but the headset symbol remains and i can speak only with my headset.. speakers not workin even when i call..
Wondering what the issue with the new LG KM900 (Arena) is? I bought one and quite like it, it doesn't bugger up as much as my Cookie did but i'm having an issue with the phonebook, i can only save to USIM and have to type in a full contact to bring them up when searching or i just get the first contact 15 times lol also just wondering if anyone else is having problems with installing an Instant Messenger? all other java apps work but the messengers won't sign in! any solutions?

I just got my arena and can figure out:
1) how to access the voice activated dialing which the phone features listed it had.
2) how do I customize my homepage cubes to include the applications i use most.
Can anyone advise. I would really appreciate it. I'm ready to return it if I can figure these features out.
