I believe the Motorola VE240 has a microSD memory expansion slot. You could just transfer your song tracks to a microSD card, and get the music player on the VE240 to play the song tracks. You have to copy the music manually. Windows Media Player won't give you the option to copy your music. You have to find them in either "My Music" folder or other folder where you save your music
Your answer was so right on the way that it is done I had to have an employee of motorola help walk me through every step and I still don't quit have it yet.
I hv tried to download music and pics.thru the phone and also with the sd card.the phone will not display or produce card play however the pc shows pic files are on the card. please help bcuz i am totally frustrated.
Have you figured out how to get music on your VE240? I just figured it out right now:
1) First, you have to download the driver for the motorola phone. Google Motorola VE240 driver and search around...you can try looking on the motorola website.
2) While it's downloading, go into your phone's Settings in the Menu. Choose #6 (USB). It should be set to Modem/COM; change it to Mass Storage. Don't forget to change it back when you're done!
Also, if your card is brand new, you should format it by choosing #7 from the Settings menu (Storage Device). Choose Memory Card, and choose Format Memory Card.
3) Install your driver and connect your phone. Your computer should eventually recognize your phone and you will have a new drive in My Computer under Removable Storage. You can put music in the my_music file, etc.
That's it! It took me about 15 minutes to do everything.
