Samsung Trance failed to charge

hi,

I Bought a Samsung Trance dual -band mobile phone from Verizon for my wife. After the battery charge came down after the first 2-3 days, I placed the phone to charge overnight for recharging. When I unplugged it in the morning, The screen lit up saying \\\" No Charger \\\" and then the phone went dead. Again, I plugged it into the socket, when the battery charging icon lit up. So I again left it in till the screen showed the battery had been fully charged. Once again after the phone was disconnected from the electrical socket, it went dead. So I took it back to the Verizon store and they replaced it with another brand new piece of the same model.
However to my surprize , the very same problem has resurfaced. The phone just does not charge up.
So wher is the problem. In the battery or the charger or the phone? And in the meantime, what do I do with this brand new piece?
I would not recommend Samsung as a brand if this is the Quality of their brand new product
