Sharing music and bluetooth

I really love my phone so far but am really aggravated with the whole blocking bluetooth capabilities. I am able to connect via bluetooth, tho I am able to send images with ease I cant seem to send or recieve music files at all...I can see my daughters image file name and playlist file names of songs but I cant actually VIEW the images or listen to her music.....

What are we doing wrong ?? Please help !!

In the video it also says you can SHARE the playlists via bluetooth...How...?? I cant seem to get my cell to send via bluetooth (other than images) ...

Sorry to be such a newbie !!

hello i have also had this problem. DRM has restricted LG from being able to send music via BT directly to the phone, from what i understand.
So we approach this from another angle! I am assuming that this is music you already own! I used the driver from the LG chocolate for my computer so it would recognize and then bitpim (newest version) to go through the file system and remove files so i can add my own ringtones images or whatever.

Guide#1

According to them, Bitpim will find your phone if you put it into "modem mode" once it's connected to the PC. The drivers from LG VX8500 will work with it. You may have to find the port the phone connects to (from Bitpim's list) and manually select it.

After you get it up, follow this process to load mp3 ringtones:

quote:
have the newest version of bitpim
open bitpim
let it find the phone(it will come up as other CDMA phone)
click FILESYSTEM on the left at the bottom
expand the folder
click dload
right click on lg_mysound.dat and save it to your desktop
after you save it right click lg_mysound.dat in bitpim and delete it
now click brew
click media
click lk
click ms

now drop the songs you want to use as ringers in this file. they will automaticlly load into your phone. it isnt the fastest process but it works.

after they are done loading onto the phone, unhook USB cable from computer, power the phone off and then back on.

the items you just transferred with now be in the my audio file where they need to be to assign them for individual ringers.

NOTE:
everytime you wnat to add new ringers to the phone you have to complete all the steps above, even the deleting that one certain file. not a very hard process and has worked well for me.

Hope this helps.

this does not work for the rhythm, when you place ringtones on the rhythm they have to go to the "my ringers" file that is in the audio file. anything in the audio file can not be placed as a ringer. anytime you try to assign a ringtone it takes you to the my ringer folder, you have no option to assign anything in the audio file.

0 vote I have found that wit my LG

I have found that wit my LG RTHYM I can recieve some songs via bluetooth but others don't work. I also know that alltel/verizon locks their ringers so you can't send them to anybody else. I LOVE my phone but i wish it was like my old one in the sense that i could use any song on it for a ringtone.
