You can't change the ones on the left, but the ones on the right can be changed by going to Main Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Shortcuts. Change Right 1,2 & 3 to whatever you want them to be.
well i check everything for the phone and i can't find any hacks or a way to change your shortcuts.
but i did found out how to get the GPS app on the phone ...Just go to @metro and click on the "MobileShop" icon and , go to "Search", and type apps. then it will appear and you can download it.
