How to Reset and Restore HTC Hero to Factory Default Settings

Resetting the phone deletes all data, including downloaded applications, and resets the phone back to its initial state.

1Press HOME > MENU > touch Settings > Security > Factory data reset.
2 On the Factory data reset screen, touch Reset phone > touch Erase everything.
3 To reset the phone using phone buttons, with the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME, END CALL/POWER, and BACK buttons.
4 The reset process will start after a few seconds.
