LG KC910 is the successor of the "i-Phone rival" LG Viewty. LG make major improvements on the KC910, adding a professional-grade 8-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, Xenon flash, smile detection, geo-tagging, image stabilizer features. Besides that, the powerful LG KC910 comes preoload with a video player that plays high-quality DivX and XviD video files, allowing users to watch high-definition movies right on its big 3.0-inch LCD screen. In addition, the KC910 phone is the first LG mobile phone that has Dolby Sound technology for better music and video sound. Also, LG adds GPS navigation system and Wi-Fi support on the KC910, making it more features-rich than iPhone 3G.

i have just purchased this phone and all i wish now is that i hadn't. It is completely awful apart from the camera. It's not usable for music lovers because the Dolby player is so user unfriendly, also you can only add 100 songs to any play list, that's opn top of setting up a playlist being tedious time intensive task.
There are no aopoplications available to add to the fone and none present. The LG calendar is useless and the inclusion of Assisted GPS is pointless as as far as i can tell there's no GPS software that works on the phone.
My personal opinion, if you want a camera, buy a camera, if you want a decent fone then buy anything other than this.

Can't agree more, this is the worst phone I've owned... The Calander is rubbish, the contacts don't sync correctly if you use company names, the user interface is poor, in fact I can't think of anything good about it. The PCSuite software never connects without manual help, the Music player is Cr!p, ARR junk, poor software on the phone, rubbish software on the PC, going back to Window Mobile.

i got this phone a week ago and i have to say its the best phone i have ever had!! i have 10 full movies on it with room to spare and the quality is great, it has a cute extendable stylus, also its quite easy to use!!

The phone comes with a registered Divx converter. You can convert the movies to a divx format which is quite small about 350-400kbs which can be uploaded to your phone via wireless (if u have already set this up and it is much faster), bluetooth or the usb cable. It already comes with an 8GB external SD card so you can save even more movies, music or pics. Also found out today when trying it that Windows Messenger now works on the KC910. Absolutely fantastic phone as far as I am concerned. Only a few gripes with phone like other phones, but nothing to throw it out the window for. Only 1 big gripe is the battery power but then again not everything in life is perfect. Great, Great phone Hope this helps

Please please please can someone answer a few questions honestly and unbiasedly.
Can you select your own ringtone.
For example and MP3 you've put on the phone yourself and not a preset one already on there.
If so can you also select multiple ones for different contacts.
Also what is the ringtone volume like and speaker volume?

yes you can load your own ringtones and can set ringtones for contacts, this is a little fiddly you have to go into contact and edit about halfway down you will find 'Ringtone' click on and select use existing and load the one you want

I just got my phone yesterday. I am happy with it for what I need - it sure beats an old nokia 6300 with 2mp camera and held together with a rubber band.
My biggest gripe WAS the lack of ring tones and the volume of those tones.
I just found out about a website www.mobile9.com. I have just downloaded a dozen or so new ringtones and installed them on my new LG. IT WORKED! As long as you choose loud ring tones you won't have a problem with the volume (you may even want to turn it down). Amongst these tones I found a Twilight song (baseball game song), bring me to life by Evanesence, Save Me from Smallville, Exorsist and psycho and the most hillarious chicken rap song.
The best of all they are all free, no need to provide credit card or mobile numbers. Just an email address.
I have not worked out how to install the wallpapers yet so if you work it out please add it here. Haven't checked out the games yet either.

I bought this fone and within a week it has just gone completely off. When I try restarting it, all I get is the LG logo. The battery is ok and the phone repair guys have advised that it is a software problem....and they are struggling to find the correct software. Really frustrating and I feel I have been conned....Did anyone encounter such a problem? I am in Fiji and any directions on how I can get this fixed is greatly appreciated.

i upgraded to this model bout a month ago and can use most of the apps on it brilliantly. when buying the phone i was told by the shop that the phone supports a navigation application downloadable from the net, any ideas where i can find this or how i install it to the phone? cheers.

i have found the gps download for the renoir and would like2add that it works fantastically. U wil need an internet add on thn as it uses data tn assist the gps. The app is amaze gps. Type amaze gps download into google. It will take u2wapsite. Will nt save to memory card so remove it so it saves2phone memory then if u wnt u cn transfer it later. Wel worth having has voice guidance is free and works far btr than my n95 did!

Hello, I have a LG KC910 Renoir, I love the phone the camera its great, you can text fast and all the aplications I love it.
I recorded a video and when I saw it the volume was to high and the loudspeaker which is Dolby Sound broked, now I´m tryin to find where I can fixed or where do they sell this speaker so I can fix it but I cannot find it anywhere. Do someone know where I can find it? I´ll be glad if someone can help me because I only used the phone for about a month and love it.

The phone is good overall, however it does not have a vibrate profile. Can anyone advice me on what to do? Pls email me sacia8@sbcglobal.net Whenever I put it on silent, it doesnt vibrate.. its jus completely quiet so I miss all the calls.

you have to go into the profiles and edit the silent profile. Make sure you set the vibration alert to on in the silent profile settings. I did that and it works for me.

I was unhappy with the selection of ring tones for my LG KC910 - I mean I would not be caught dead with that ringing in public. Anyway I heard about www.mobile9.com everything you could want for your mobile for FREE. They don't ask for your mobile number or your credit card number - just your email address to sign up. Just download the stuff to your computer. I have been able to add a heap of cool ring tones (one from Twilight) and have chosen a hillarious chicken rap lol as my ring tone. I have not worked out how to add the wall papers yet and I have not looked at the games.
