Released for Alltel Wireless in the United States, Samsung Delve is a touch-screen phone with Samsung’s Touchwiz interface that powers other Samsung’s touch-screen phones, such as Samsung Omnia. The Samsung Delve comes equipped with a quite impressive 3-inch big TFT LCD screen. Like Apple’s iPhone, the Delve phone has a visual QWERTY keypad instead of a physical QWERY keypad. Features of the Delve phone include a 2.0-megapixel digital camera / camcorder, GPS navigation system, MP3 music player, full Internet browser, and Stereo Bluetooth connectivity. The downside is you won’t be able use this phone in foreign countries since it is a CDMA phone instead of quad-band GSM phone.

WOW, I am really happy with this phone. I am so not cell phone savy but even I can operate this.
The only thing they need to fix is where to put the stylus. There is no where to put this thing other than the bottom of my purse.

0 vote PC connection

The only way that I have found to get the delve to connect via the included cable is something not on the manual or alltel could tell me- make sure that the touch screen is unlocked i.e. active when you connect the cable from the computer to the phone. the first time might take 1 or 2 times but after that if the touch screen is active the PC should reconize it and the phone should display PC CONNECTION. After that it should act as a normal external drive. For free ringtones and wallpaper go to myxer.com but i am still working on games.

You should just be able to click on "my computer" and the phone will be labeled as a removable drive F: possibly. That is how I located it on my computer.

0 vote Getting Ringtones on a Delve

The only way to get ringtones and wallpapers on your phone is to Bluetooth it from your computer! Save what you want to your PC and change ringtones from MP3 to qcp file! ringtone.mp3- ringtone.qcp! You either have to have a bluetooth computer or you can buy a bluetooth dongle from Walmart for $20 and it plugs into your PC USB port and is pretty easy to set up! Once you have a dongle you can read your Users guide on how to connect your phone to a bluetooth item, after that all you do is click and drag from yoour computer to your phone all sounds hard but is really easy! Seriously! The reason we can't do it the old easy way is becasue the Delve was made a little different and will not reconizes ringtones because of the music player on the Delve!

0 vote MP3 Issue with the Delve

I experienced the same thing. I talked with an Alltel representative and they told me to install the driver (http://software.alltel.com). Type in your cell number, and answer the other prompts and it will install the driver for you. Unfortunately, it will not resolve the issue. If you find out how to do this, please post a response.

DRich picture DRich

I had that same problem at first. You have to buy a micro sd card for it to work as a mass storage device. if you have ringtones though you have to picture message them and save the attachment to use them as ringtones

go to menu then alltel shop press ok and download realtone jukebox

bcmile76 picture bcmile76

0 vote Getting ringtones

I found out that you have to re-name any ringtone files to a .qcp extension and then transfer them via bluetooth from your computer. This will work with any music files (.mp3, midi, etc..) So if file name is "ringtone.mp3", you need to re-name it to "ringtone.qcp", its really simple and dont forget to keep the real file (make a copy to re-name). Im not sure if thier is a file size restriction, all mine are on the smaller side, 520kb is my largest, but they work great.

I found out that you have to make sure that the phone is unlocked, by holding in the power button to unlock it. Then plug in the data cable and it will recognize it as a disc drive.

0 vote connecting a bluetooth headset to the delve

3

does anyone know how to get the delve to pair with a bluetooth headset

MsN64 picture MsN64

0 vote Bluetooth headset

The instructions in the user manual worked great. You basically set the headset to pair mode, then set the phone to discover mode. Then search... once you see the headset in the display, drag and drop it onto the search icon. It will then ask for the passwords for the headset and the phone (which are usually 0000). Poof, that its it.

If I had a choice, I would get a new phone. I can't seem to get instant messenger on my phone. Plus, mine doesn't stay locked and calls people when its in my pocket. I want a new phone.

Is there any way to get more that 50 entries on the calendar on the phone?

DRich picture DRich

0 vote calender

no i dont think so. I don't use calender that much but for some reason when samsung made the phone they put limits on everything. Like in text messages you can only have 165 characters including spaces. I really like the phone except for that feature.
