Samsung Instinct, which is also known as Samsung M-800, is Samsung’s best answer to Apple’s blockbuster iPhone that stormed the cellular phone market in 2007. The Instinct phone features a big 3.1-inch LCD touch screen, and three buttons on the front side, which are designed to ease users in navigating the menus. Like Apple iPhone, the Samsung Instinct also features a full internet browser that supports desktop-like internet browsing experience.
Other features of Samsung Instinct include a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, video player, video recorder, and a microSD memory expansion slot that supports up to 8GB of memory upgrade.

haha well i was pissed about the problem with they stylus, but my friend got the phone and noticed on the right side of the case, there is a small pouch [its not streched out so it looks like a seem] and you stick the stylus in there. samsung should have put a note or something on the case so you noticed it lol. now that i have lost the stylus since i didnt know where to put it... lol

for instant messanger you can simply log in to your sprint.com account and go to the application. there is a new application where you can download all the instant messanger including aim for free. i am using msn it works great.

TO make custom ringtones u need an mp3 cutter software. when u cut your tone to size. u find a website for downloading files to your phone. it will turn them into ringtones when u download them.

I have had this phone for about 3 weeks now. I got it while waiting for Sprint to get the Blackberry Curve back in, but I think I will keep this one. I really like the GPS, TV (albeit limited) and the touch features. I find it so much easier to learn to use than previous phones. It has more features for the money than other smart phones and Sprint has really good family data/voice plans.

I would agree with the majority that overall it is a great phone for the money. I am a bit suprised that it isnt provisioned to act as a phone/modem for my laptop to have internet access like my pocket pc 6800, and it doesnt have the audible note/voice recorder on it either. those are the two major things i am a bit disappointed about. i also havent figured out how to access the files on my strorage card like i could with my pocket pc 6800 through the "file explorer" option. Lastly, i would also like to know about any websites i go to for software downloads that are compatible with this phone. If anyone knows any please forward the info to mrbrucebrown@yahoo.com

i can't believe that this instinct does not support corporate email. I need outlook and to sync contacts and calendar, but apprently the phone does not have this capability. it only has windows live.

Overall the phone is cool... Work fuctionality leaves a bit to be desired. I am use to being able to communicate via messenger without being connceted to the internet. i just bought the instinct and cannot believe that it does not support corporate email (i.e. Oulook) and synco software for calendar and contacts. If this is the case this phone is completely useless.

I had to forward my corporate e-mail to a yahoo account and send the yahoo account to my instinct. Kind of awkward however it does do the trick.

Nope, the only way to sync your instinct to your Outlook (email only) is to be at your desktop/laptop computer, running the connection software on your desktop or laptop computer. So if you have to have your laptop/desktop on anyway, you might as well use it to check mail instead.
I liked the Instinct, but couldn't live without being able to get email AWAY from my desktop or laptop computers, and I needed to be able to sync my notes, too.
The Instinct is a fine phone, but it is not, nor does it claim to be, a smartphone or a PDA.
I took my Instinct back and got an HTC Mogul instead.
Guess I better change groups.

It has to be a java program and it has to have a jad and jar file. If it has those two files go to funformobile.com/ and make an account and upload and send the application o your phone.
