How do you download pictures or videos from your pc to the phone?

I have one and am dissapointed in it. Unlike the IPhone it does not support 3rd party apps. Very Limited in customizable. I am probabily going to dump it and get a Nokia N series fone. For the simple minded it is fine. But if u like customizing and 3rd part Apps then go with the IPhone if u want a touchscreen. I recommend a Nokia over-all. they are the best. Especialy N Series. There is an app for them that lets up bounce off the 3G connection on your laptop or home PC Wirelessly (Certain N Series Models).

If u want a phone that crashes every time you get on the internet, is very limmited on what u do, and is very simple minded get the INSTINCT. It will be Exstinct soon!

I think the instinct sucks. it is not anywhere close to competing with the iphone. the instinct doesn't even have an app store. when i try to download apps from the sprint website it keeps saying "your phone does not support this application." you can only view websites in the vertical position. when you go to the camera, it says u can add frames, but there aren't any frames on the phone. you can't even add icons to the phone so you can click on them for quick access. and they say this phone is faster than the iphone, that's a joke. three of my friends have iphones, and they're phones are a lot faster and a lot better. i keep hearing this bs that sprint is working on an app store for the instinct. that should have been done when the phone came out, not half a year later.

1 vote Great "toy" with nice features - but needs to cook longer....

I have had my Instinct for several months now and I have to admit it is a nice phone, but is really lacking in areas. The web browser is nice and quick. The problem with it is the fact that one can not select and save a picture or text.

The live search is nice also for looking at the local area, but get's clunky when wanting to search another area.

The video has improved a bit, but it's still not even close to the point where I would actually pay to see a movie on it...yes, it's pay-per-view type of service - NO WAY!

The camera on it takes pretty good pictures and really nice video for a phone. It completely fails in the sound area though. I took a video and the visuals were great, but the sound was horrific! I tried several times to figure out if I was doing something wrong, but alas nothing helped. I went on YouTube and found that every other video that had been taken on the Instinct had horrible sound as well.

Okay, on MAJOR nit pick here!!! Why in heaven's name can I not save or create a list of commonly used words and phrases to be used in the web browser and messaging?! Come on people, this is a basic, basic, basic feature on almost EVERY OTHER PHONE out there! Good night you're killing me!

The phone quality is really good. Very easy to hear and be heard. The dial-pad is nice, the contact are well put together and the voice dial works very well. The "non-linear" voice mail is a really nice feature.

Email works well and is pretty reliable. The keyboard is okay and pretty accurate most of the time. The stylus is pretty useless for anything but the most special occasions. And I do agree, why didn't they make a place for it on the phone....?

The lack of workable PIM software is a biggie for me. This is where the Instinct fails miserably! The calendar is clunky and non-intuitive, there is not connection between it and one's notes or contacts, there are no tasks, no way to view a daily "snapshot" of the tasks, meetings, etc., that one may have for a particular day, and the list can go on. This is one area where it really needs a MAJOR overhaul!

And with all of this the rumors and promises from Sprint for supposed software has turned into mediocre software updates. The "contest" that was waged on a special Sprint Instinct software web site has wielded nothing.

Overall it has led me to believe that this is a nice phone, with lots of nice toys, but no real application outside of the calling features and navigation capabilities. It is NOT a PIM and until it gets an overhaul in this area I personally will not be able to take it too seriously. It's a lot of fun and can keep one entertained and informed, but that's pretty much it, which is enough for a lot of people...not me.

It doesn't come close to the iphone. It has no real apps, the sound is bad so not great as an MP3. You can't use it for anything but phoning and personally I'd choose something else. In fact, I did I got rid of it.
