The Samsung Omnia, also known as Samsung SGH-i900, is the upgraded version of Samsung Instinct, which both phones features iPhone-like Touchwhiz technology. The biggest improvement over the Samsung Instinct is the 5-megapixel digital camera with anti-shake technology, enable users to captures high quality pictures for printing.
The Samsung Omnia is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and a Marvell PXA312 processor at 624 MHz with 256 MB ROM and 128 RAM. It also has 8 GB of internal memory storage. Since the Omnia is powered by Windows OS, the Omnia phone comes preloaded with Windows Applications, such as Microsoft Words, Excel, Powerpoint, and Windows Media.
Like the Samsung Instinct, the Omnia phone also has 3G capabilities, Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, FM Radio, and GPS functionality.

Hi,
This may be a silly question..when you charge the phone there is a red light where you turn the phone on and off...so i assume when it's charged the red light will turn off?? I have an old Samsung D600 and when I charge it it says on the screen that it's 'charging' and when it's finished it actually says 'fully charged'....shame the Omnia doesn't have that feature..

I'v got present from my girlfriend a samsung omnia, because she bought the mobile phone at Greece so the language of windows mobile (OS) and some other feature are in greek. Does anyone know how to change the language and how to reinstal the windows mobile. Thanks

I love my Omnia, but when I'm on the internet I tend to view Japanese/Korean things.. but the writing just shows up as boxes, which is really frustrating. Does anyone know how I can add something that'll help me see the asian characters, or something like that?

I just bought the Samsung Omnia i900, and whenever i receive text messages, there is no sound notification, the alert comes up on screen, but thats it.
I have put the phone and ring volume on maximum, and I've gone into menu>settings>sounds & notifications>notifications and set the Messaging: New text message ring tone. But it still doesn't seem to work
