I'm a Sprint customer, and when I saw this phone, I fell in love. At first I wanted the Rumor, but I didn't like the picture quality of the phone. Then I saw this and I was like WOW i gotta get this phone for Christmas. I like how the screen's a little bit bigger than the rumor, and the buttons look a little better. I'm also glad that it's from the Samsung brand because i love that brand!! I jus can't wait until this phone comes out.

I got the Rumor when it first came out, and the only color available was black or white, and I wasn't a fan of the white. Ever since using a QWERTY keyboard I don't want to use anything else. The Rumor is far from perfect, filled with many cons. The rumor has one pro to it, it's a slide out keyboard. Cons range from constantly shutting off randomly, no EVDO, extremely slow processing - takes a while to load your pics and to your text inbox, and the keypad is horrible to text on - the T9 cannot keep up with me, not to mention it's a pain to text on using the keypad, and the camera is less than desirable - no flash and slow! Moving onto the Rant, has EVDO, 2.0 mgpixel camera, a better keyboard, and I'm excited to get it next month! I need to get rid of my rumor.

When I saw the samsung rant I thought it was a nice looking new version of the Rumor but its looks so similar its almost a joke other then its a power vision phone and the rumor is not. The cons is why didint samsung make a new look to the whole slide keypad not to mention make it stand out more. Dont get me wrong it will proubably be a great hit with the teens or anyone that spends more time texting then calling someone on the phone. But I think the phone that is going to be a great phone in October when there all released is the little guy the "Lg Lotus" I have been doing lots of research and that phone is so fat and wide but so little with a full Qwerty keypad you cant beat it and its so new and Does not look like a remake of any phone sprint has now so I give Lg 2 thumbs up! for making a great messenging and fun phone.

I've worked for and sold sprint for a little over a year now, and I must say that the Rumor is by far our most popular phone (we currently offer it for free with the contract). And the main flaw that a lot of people had complaints with was that it was not power vision. It does, however work with sprint navigation ( a rarity among vision phones) which was nice. The rant, from what i've read, has a 4 rown keyboard (sweet) and a much better music player and access to the sprint music store (99 cents a song aint bad if you have no home computer) sprint tv and a better camera (another GREAT improvement. in low light, the rumors camera is absolutely useless). Plus it ships with a micro SD card, I think it comes with a 256k. But don't quote me on that. So all-in-all I rate the rant 4.5/5 for now, I'll update when i get some hands-on with it. Although I'm looking forward to the Lotus a bit more.. employee plan.. oh yeah. lol

While I think this is a great phone, nothing new, just really good. There are a couple of problems. It is sometimes slow to respond and the internet takes a little too long to disconnect and go back to whatever you were doing beforehand. The screen gets smudged extremely easy, don't let your make-up covered girl friend use it. :P

All around a great phone.

They should have put the volume button in a different spot so its easier to use while surfing the net in landscape view as a page up/down button.

ya I just go the rant its a great phone but my bro got one to an is all screwed up when he turns it on the screen goes black and you cant do anything

like it, but cant download free songs so it sucks, sprint should be shame, that they are that greedy to block the phone

The rant was great at first.
but i started having problems with the screen.
it was really slow.
and i turned it off and on and the screen turned black and froze up.
and i cant do anything even after i took the battery out several different times.
its a rip-off after the 30-day return policy.

got the rant and its ok i guess. it has no way to change color scheme and although i have had no problems with my old way of getting ring tones i cant seem to get my games to work. any one know how to unlock the phone? love the pdf viewer and the attach pics and other files to email tho. feel like i have a blackberry
