Although Sidekick phones don’t get good ratings from users, T-Mobile insists of giving it a try in 2008 by releasing the all new Sharp Sidekick 2008 in a smaller and lighter body. Like its predecessors, the Sidekick 2008 also features swivel design that slides to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard that allows users to text-messaging and emailing faster. Features and specifications of the Sidekick 2008 includes a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, a MP3 digital music player, microSD memory expansion slot, Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, and 3.5” headphone jack that allows you to plug in your favorite noise-canceling headphone.
Some of the cons of this Sidekick phone include lacking of 3G network connectivity and missing GPS navigation system.

After using the Sidekick 2008 the only FLAW that I have found that pissed me off more then anything is that there is no FLASH nor can you adjust the camera in any way. No Zoom Feature, No light Setting or anything. The only thing you can change is the picture size and resolution. Example: In order for you to take a picutre you have to have desent lighting otherwise your pics are black. So no taking pictures while at clubs or at night time.

I rank it 4 out of 5 stars because it is a great phone and does have a lot of options, but it lacks a lot of things most users may want. For example, it doesn't have a built in flash, It is nearly impossible to take great pictures in low lighting areas without a flash. It doesn't support alot of java games from third-party vendors, ie if its not tmobile branded or license agreement with tmobile, you might not be able to play it. The only other thing is if you upgrade to this phone from a non sidekick phone before you billing cycle ends, you will have to wait until your cycle starts over again before you can get the sidekick plan, which is very much needed if you want security keylock and internet and messaging. Other than this, I love this phone, I bought this phone a few days before it hitting the retail shelves, and I would recommend it to everyone.

I love this phone! I have it in my hand right now and at the same time I have my raging b0ner in my other hand! I am doing this so I can spank my meat because that's how awesome this phone is! Even better, when my nut does bust and I get something on the phone, it easily wipes off! The only con of the phone is that the camera has no flash so when I'm taking pictures of me touching myself in a dark alley to pictures of Miley Sirus you can't really make out what I'm doing. I would recommend this phone to everyone!

I have heard so much stuff about this phone and my boyfriend has one and it is soooo cool... Eventhough he doesn't have his on a plan it's prepaid he can still use the internet unlimited and message unlimited, for just $1.00 a day. The only flaw against it is the little space for video recording and the no flash on the camera... But other then that i can't wait to get mine and have my boo on the shell!

You can't record your own ringtone, you are stuck with the ringtones they provide which are either jazz or elevator music of sorts. Not to mention that you need to buy a data package in order to download a calculator because this phone doesnt have one.

Yes I must agree, especially the fact that the comment was posted on my B-Daii!!! [[11-25]] But newayz, NO stinkin ringotnes is a major negative for the whole sidekick series && YESS the da*n phone does NOT have a calculator!!!?!!! WTF?? I have tried soooooooo many different ways to get ringtones w/o having to pay an arm && a leg for a song that will be cool 4 6wks or less..LMAO!! The camera does NOT have flash, nor zoom...hmmm nething else I can think of I will post up later...LMAO!! Other than that I love my sidekick.....

Even though I like some features, is not what I expected... You can't costumize the songs you get through bluetooth for your contacts or as ringtones. For that, you have to buy the songs. That's the same for pictures, you can't use them as background, you have to buy backgrounds as well...
Great for instant messaging, limited internet (no videos), and emails...

Uhm I've been ah tmobile costumer for 3 years& all of ah sudden 2009 wanted too be the year peoples phones lose their #s, pics& mutiple other belongings that they've need. The only good thing about tmobile sidekick is that they re-in burst you on the features that has been not functioning.Such as when the terrible situations we're goin on im` was messed ÜÞ for about 2weeks mayb an people`s #s includidng mines has been disadvantage but it still workn out for me but tmobile really needs help. Laughn my fuckn ŧ§ off.

the sidekick to me is below average.
there's no flash player, the picture and recording sucks because you can't adjust it.
you can't set ringtones that are bluetooth
you have to pay for just about everything

I bought my sidekick in august 2008 and I absolutely LOVE my phone! I don't think I will be able to go back to a phone without a full keyboard! You can customize it by creating your own shell and even though it seems fragile, it's NOT! Trust me. I used to have nextel, and in order for me to have a phone that wouldn't break on me I had to have the i580 (a waterproof phone literally wrapped in rubber.) And so far I've had this phone for 6 months and it is still in tact! Even if you drop your phone a lot (like i do) and scrape up the housing, new shells are only 15$ and your phone looks like new! and the number one reason I would recommend it is because I would consider myself someone who ALWAYS wants the newest and I have YET to find another phone that I would want more!!

This phone can be better than what it is. I have the sidekick 2008 and its the same thing everyone else is saying...you cant set your blu toothed music as a ring tone... you cant take a good picture in the dark b/c there is NO FLASH...you cant set the pictures you take as a background... the list just goes on and on. Basicly Tmobile wants you to pay for everything the background the themes the songs the ringtones the designs. However this phone is great if you want something cute and sporty and flashy other than that it SUCKS.

I am really badd with fones in one year I had 3 different phones!
But, now that I have my sidekick I've lasted 10 months with it.
I really like the Sidekick o8.
There are only a few things I don't like.
Like the fact that you have to download everything
such as the calculator, ringtones, and games.
the other thing I don't like is that my fone doesn't vibrate when i get a text message.
To make the sidekick good you have to have the data plann.

phone just as bad as danger,inc.this is a e-mail i sent to them they stilI have not replied.(sent an e-mail to you yesterday about ringtones on my sidekick (ghekko).1st you offer a lot of rap , hiphop alternative ,rock,etc..I do not have a problem with that , what I have a problem with is the fact that I listen to death metal and thrash metal whitch you have not a single ringtone for in the download catalogue.(nuclear assault,violence,death,dark angel, otep,slayer,napalm death,megadeath and sacred riech) just to name a few.And because im not allowed to put my own ringtones on my phone ,(witch I paid for and think I should be able to do with what I want with it, but thats a different matter)im stuck with no ringtones to customize my phone with,you know not everyone wants to here what you offer ,what about the customers you obviously left out,i'll be expecting an e-mail about this matter within the next day or so.and if I don't, you can check anyone of the twenty or so phone forums I subscribe to for this e-mail and any others ,because im tired of being ignored on this matter.thank you in advance.)that was 2 weeks ago.
